I'll explain why Mashable's "Follow" video is a great trend setting via the four bullets above with the rest of my posts below, using my multiple twitter accounts because:
1) I want to see if my tweets carry the message.
2) I'm wanting to prove to myself at least, I know what I'm doing with those multiple twitter accounts.
3) I want to share my excitement and passion about what's emerging with social media: community and connection and transparency = authentic voice, and
4) I want to share my love of video, with tools and the YouTube platform that make it easier and easier. (iPad2 video editing, iPhone capture, HD cameras as small as can be.)
The impetus for all this was via the WCCC Business to Business Expo, 2011, yesterday. I was happy to meet @AstralRoad1 Founder Rich Fahle, formerly in Marketing with Borders & on the ground floor with the EXPLOSION of video. He was on a panel and also presented a video session. Stay tuned, there will be more to come!
Custom internet also comes through applications like this via twitter tweets sent to me on my business twitter account @RevelnConsults:
Some of my other tweets from the #b2bexpo event yesterday,
RT @RevelnConsults: Trends: Integration Liquid Internet adaptation to your interests Agree it's really cool, not creepy. #b2bexpo
I'll now demonstrate playing with the niches of my four twitter personas via discussing my learning per Rich Fahle @ AstralRoad and Astral Road Brand Media
My Four Twitter personas talk about Trends circa 2011:
The new teleclass in Social Media has filled to max via word of mouth and my on-line info, helped by my basic skills in video, starting with iPhone videos that evolved to HD video (my brand new teleclass page with my story) using my new Lumix video camera (the size of the iPhones stacked on each other, that I carry it in my purse).
2. My more informal @dnrevel persona, is my oldest. I engage in more banter here. I sometimes challenge my community connections from time to time, all in the spirit of community. I believe conflict is neutral, is BEST handled NOT in social media. I've experienced it two times in twitter in ways I think were less than helpful or genuine, more ego driven. If there's fun, banter, the occasional conflict or exploration of something very new, , @dnrevel may be the persona on the scene.
3. My business persona is@RevelnConsults. I use the @RevelnConsults feed on my Reveln Consulting Wordpresswebsite. RC had a bit to say about my video experience with @AstralRoad1 's presentation yesterday. I was so glad I stayed & attended Rich's late afternoon session. It was very worthwhile!
Video is premium delivery for authenticity. SEO loves video. Tell your story, naturally. 65% recall rate. #b2bexpo @AstralRoad1 #SMCC1
Note the different sources I use for my tweeting above, Facebook and my iPad. I'm actually tweeting this blog post from Facebook and integrating it onto my front page website at the same time.
4. My special niche for my business consulting is Change Management. Therefore I tweet from @ChangeTools. Ron is a business partner who tweets from @ChangeResults. I like his title better. Too bad I can't steal it. :-)

USING MULTIPLE TWITTER accounts:
I will sometimes retweet myself, attempting to do it at different times, per @CharlieCurve's good recommendations. I've posted his video below about using multiple twitter accounts well. Lesson learned!! Charlie's videos are a GREAT example of how to use video well!
And here's @CharlieCurve's video on using multiple twitter accounts:
Deb: The Blog Herald writer in its June post cautions readers that the new Posterous addition of pages could be "Potentially Dangerous." The Herald also seems to tip its hand saying that the tiny start-up Posterous may not be able to overcome the Mighty Tumblr. Well, a Redpoint Investment and some recent DoS (Denial of Service) attacks later, it seems Posterous continues to get quite the attention of the masses. Tiny or not, it is delivering a lot of service to a huge number of people for free. Just think "twitter" folks, also a tiny start-up back in the day. I remember their "we're just few folks people" early blog posts.
A balanced, to my eyes, comparison of the two blogging platforms is here via Mashable, from last year, entitled: Posterous vs. Tumblr: A Head to Head. There have been many enhancement to Posterous since then, including Pages. Even before pages, there was plenty there. I'm a heavy user of the bookmarklet. I also use the advanced features of the bookmarklet ALL the TIME. Check out this sample Posterous blog: 6 Cool Tips to Get More Out of Posterous from MakeUseOf.
Posterous (considered by some to be Tumblr’s biggest rival) is finally allowing users to create pages to accompany their blogs. Unlike Tumblr however, Posterous is enabling fans of the service to add a few extra features to pages that may appeal to keep-it-simple bloggers, not to mention spammers as well.
We decided to use the same great editor that you are already using for posts. This means you can edit rich text, upload any media, and add and edit photo galleries. All of the cool features that we’ve created for posts—like link auto-expansion and syntax highlighting—come along for the ride with pages. [...]
We allow you to create a page that redirects to a static URL. You may want to do this if you want to add a link to one of your social networks, or to a page tTo [sic] do this, simply click on the “Page Options” tab, and add a URL where it says “Redirect to:”. When your visitors click on a link to a redirect page, they will be redirected to the URL you specified. (Official Posterous Blog)
Although it’s great to see Posterous finally add pages (which is considered a standard feature in Blogger, WordPress and Tumblr), the page redirect feature is potentially dangerous as one could redirect a curious user towards a site filled with malware.
Perhaps Posterous could consider giving users about to be redirected a link to the actual site (similar to how Facebook warns users who are about to be redirected towards another site).
For all those people out there who are crazy enough
to think they can change the world...

In 1997, Apple used this ad with the "Think Different" slogan. It is a good reminder of what innovation is about, particularly when considering the qualities of these innovative titans featured including (in order)
Albert Einstein,
Bob Dylan,
Martin Luther King, Jr.,
Richard Branson,
John Lennon,
R. Buckminster Fuller,
Thomas Edison,
Muhammad Ali,
Ted Turner,
Maria Callas,
Mahatma Gandhi,
Amelia Earhart,
Alfred Hitchcock,

The ad ends with a young girl opening her closed eyes, as if to see the possibilities before her.
The text used in the ad :
Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently.
They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things.
They push the human race forward.
And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.
